The Witcher 3 is, for the most part, a stunning experience, but you can’t please everybody. That’s what mods are for.
Despite only bewitching (and therefore, de-wizarding) players for a few days, The Witcher 3’s PC versionalready has some pretty sweet mods. You can’t, like, play as white-haired version of The Incredible Hulk yet, but I’m sure it’ll happen with time (unless The Witcher 3’s mod scene sparks and fizzles like The Witcher 2’s did).
For now, the centerpiece of the mod selection is the CineFX graphics mod, which—among other things—lets you crank the game’s resolution until astronauts can see Geralt’s beard stubble from space. If you want it to look like the infamous video from a couple years back, this is probably your best bet—at least, from a sheer detail perspective.
Here’s a video of it in action from FeuerTin:
The other early Witcher 3 mods emphasize quality of life over sexy good looks. First up, there’s the Over 9000 weight limit mod, which allows Geralt to carry up to 9999 Witchy Weight Units of stuff. Given how much stuff I’ve looted from kind, unsuspecting villagers’ houses in the game’s first few hours, I can see the mod being super handy.

There’s also the Wealthy Vendors mod, which does exactly what it says: makes vendors obscenely rich. Instead of retiring to islands that aren’t crawling with monsters and apocalypse zeppelins, however, they give you more gold for your goods before running out. Pretty fucking saintly of them, if you ask me.
Lastly, there’s the Lower XP Thresholds mod, which makes Geralt level up a teensy bit quicker. It’s not meant to turn the game into a cakewalk, but for those who balk at the idea of only being level five after six hours, this one might not be such a bad idea.

Now, a couple disclaimers: 1) These are pretty simple mods, largely created by changing values in the game’s files. Given time, modders may well change The Witcher 3 to the point that it’s unrecognizable. This is a trickle. Fingers crossed for a flood. 2) A new patch dropped a few hours ago that might render old versions of these mods useless. If that’s the case, you may need to wait a little bit for new versions to be released.
Now then, question time: what do you want to see from future Witcher 3 mods? What sorts of utility features? Anything crazy or outlandish or Literally The Hulk?

There are two possible ways of installing the modifications for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt- you can do it either manually or using a tool called Nexus Mod Manager. The first method might be faster and does not require you to install any additional pieces of software, however, when using Nexus Mod Manager all the modifications are sorted by categories and it is easier to manage them.
One should remember that any interference with the game's files - like installing a mod - might result in the corruption of either the save files or even the entire game. This is why one should make a backup copy of the save files. These are located in the folder My DocumentsWitcher 3gamesaves.
Manual installation
- Find the location where you have installed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
- In there, create a new folder called Mods.
- Place all the files of the downloaded modifications in the newly created folder.
- The manual above is just a set of general steps. Very often, installing modifications for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is much more complex - in such cases, we have added proper tips to the mod description.
Nexus Mod Manager
- Go to this website - Nexus Mods. Create a free account and download the Nexus Mod Manager tool.
- Install the program and start it.
- Now, Nexus Mod Manager will scan your discs to find the titles it supports. If the paths of game files are correct, confirm them.
Nexus Mod Manager is an intuitive tool that works with many popular games.
- Next, go to this website - Nexus Mods Witcher 3 and downloadthe modifications you are interested in. You can use the DOWNLOAD WITH MANAGER button, Nexus Mod Manager will then automatically turn on and download the chosen modification (remember, you have to be logged in both on the website and in the program).
- You can also choose the download manually option, however, in this case, you will have to indicate the modification's localization manually in Nexus Mod Manager. You can do this using the green plus icon.
- Now you just have to find the modification in Nexus Mod Manager and double-click on it (LMB) to initiate its installation.
- Upon completing all the aforementioned steps, the modification is already active.
The Witcher 3 was released in May, 2015. That is nearly four years of bliss. It's a superb game, and I easily rate it as one of the best I have ever played. Like all games, it has its issues, but what it does well is enough to keep me replaying it, over and over again. Sometimes, you want to mix things up a little bit though, and this is where mods come in.
In this article, I'll run through some of my preferred mods for the game, with a little bit of information as to why I like them so much.
The Best Mods For The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Debug Console Enabler
A must-have mod, if you plan on messing around with mods at all. This will give you access to the Debug Console, where you can get up to all kinds of shenanigans, from spawning enemies to changing the weather.
Nexus Mod Manager
The Nexus is where all the mods live when we are not poking and prodding them. Nexus Mod Manager allows you to quickly and easily download and install mods. When using this it is important to keep a close eye on any information about conflicts and load orders. Lots of mods interact with each other, or even rely on each other. Read those information boxes carefully!
Photo Mode
Ansel is great and all, but if you are doing to be doing some odd things to your visuals, it won't always work that well. The problems is that for people who like to take screenshots, some of the injectables you use to alter how the game looks won't always translate well through Ansel. Photo Mode is a great way to take your screenshots, as it should interact much better with your visual changes.
The Witcher 3 HD Rework Project
Pretty much a one stop shop for people who want to give their game a graphical bump. The HD Rework Project wants to make everything look just a little better, while still staying loyal to the original art direction. This mod will bring very high quality texture, high quality meshes, and better levels of details to parts of the game that may have been a little lacking. It also manages to not cost you too much from a performance point of view.
Fast Travel Anywhere
I gotta be honest, I have never fast traveled in the game. I like how it looks, and how I feel when I play it, so I like to just travel everywhere the slow way. I am clearly a lunatic though, so you might want to be able to fast travel from anywhere. If you do, then use this mod. No need to go find a sign post, you can just click on your map and teleport there.
Autoloot
While I am perfectly happy to travel strictly by Roach, I can't be wasting time picking up loot from every man and monster who falls to my swords. The Autoloot mod comes with filters, allowing to decide exactly what types of items you want it to pick up. If you are so inclined, it can also just snatch up absolutely everything.
Over 9000
If you want a Witcher who has benefited from some hardcore Crossfit, this is the mod for you. This will allow you to carry pretty much as much loot as you like, and works well with the Autoloot mod, for obvious reasons.
FCR3
FCR3 is what happens when a person who worked on a game makes a mod for that game. Ibtada e ishq mp3 songs free download 320 kbps. Described as an 'immersion and rebalancing' mod, this will bring all kinds of bug fixes, rebalancing, and general fun your way. It does, by design, make the game a little harder, so be aware of that.
Critical Slow Motion Mod
Sometimes, when you chop a guy in half, or send a head flying across the screen, you want to take the time to appreciate it, or contemplate the fleeting time we all get to spend in this life. This mod will nicely slow down those critical kills for you, letting you savor your handiwork.
E3 Dodge System
One of my major issues with The Witcher 3 is the dodging. It is, quite frankly, a bit silly at times. This mod introduces a more stripped down dodge system similar to one seen in an early E3 video. People who have struggled to enjoy combat in the game might find it far more appealing with this mod installed.
Indestructible Items
This mod will completely remove weapon degradation from the game. Weapon degradation is often a silly system in the vast majority of games that use it. It rarely adds fun, and often just comes off as too gamey to not be an immersion breaker. As such, you can use this mod and not feel even a little bit guilty.
Friendly HUD
Friendly HUD will give you all kinds of control over your UI. You can individually modify each HUD module, add 3D markers for quest and NPC tracking, and it makes several improvements to the game menus.
Auto Apply Oils
This is a very useful mod, because sometimes you just forget about Oils altogether. This will automatically detect the enemies that are around you, and apply the correct oil for the job.
Trademan
Selling old gear is important in the Witcher, but you can often run into a vendor who is running low on cash. Use this mod to ensure that merchants always have enough money to buy what you are selling. If you need quick cash, it will also allow you to change the price of merchant goods, and the price they will pay for your wares.
Sezon Burz Witcher's Gear
A really nice set of gear, based on the book Storm Season. Fits in with the style of the game perfectly, and comes in different level and power options so you can wear it all the way through your playthrough.
